Installation – We talk to customers every day about site preparation and seed installation techniques. When asked, we will gladly install the native seed we provide you on your site using one or more of several techniques. We will work with you on small hand installations though large acreage mechanized projects with the same care that we take in all aspects of our business.

Post planting maintenance -Available, please contact us for details.

Consulting services - Consulting services are available and are scheduled to meet the needs or our customers. We can help you design a prairie planting for your property or residence with standard or custom seed mix designs and planting layouts. We can make suggestions as to how you can help control storm water runoff and treat problem wet areas on your property. We can discuss the pros and cons of “no mow” or “low maintenance” lawns. We can also introduce you to other environmentally focused companies that have areas of expertise outside of ours to assist you on an as needed basis.

Education - Educating our customers is a big part of what we do. Most people want to do the environmentally responsible thing but are not sure how or where to start. At Ohio Prairie Nursery, we believe that the best way to help the environment is to do it yourself, where you live. We believe that stewardship of the earth begins with a personal responsibility, which we all have, to take care of our own personal pieces of the environment as best we can based on our abilities and available resources.

Our customer education and support services will increase in 2008 through new training programs available through the nursery. Keep an eye on our “News” section, under the company tab, for the topics and schedules.

Speaking Engagements - We have been speaking around the state for some time on topics like creating a prairie ecosystems, Ohio native plants and Rain Gardens. We have two additional presenters on staff and available to talk to your group. Keep an eye on our “News” section for the topics and schedules for public presentations.
