The native Lanceleaf Coreopsis grows in small clumps, but can form extensive colonies. Its yellow flower is easy to spot and quite distinctive.
Even though it is a fairly short lived perennial, it re-seeds freely and you are likely to see it again.
Pollinators, especially butterflies, are drawn to this plant.
